(22:17 UTC — Dec 12) Resolved – After a long monitoring period, we believe the issues have been fully resolved. We continue to work with our NetroHost users to restore access to their systems and ports. We made the decision to reissue SSH ports (so its easier), and will talk with them accordingly. In the meantime, you can access all your main services if they were for website-related stuff.
Essentially, what happened was we attempted to perform a network migration slowly, so that there would be little downtime, if any. During such however, a confliction in the network occurred and we had to immediately migrate to production. However during this process, a lot of things failed to work right, from getting an IP, to firewall issues, to literally a router failing on us - we were painfully all hands on deck for 97% of the 48 hours of this whole process. We hope to never have these issues again, or if we do, hope to never have that long of a downtime. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our clients and users of the services we hosted for our clients.
Thanks for choosing Netro Corporation!
(10:43 UTC — Dec 12) Monitoring – Two words: We won. We finally did it and was able to get the majority of the network online. We will work closely with our NetroHost users to restore full access to things like SSH. In the meantime, you will be able to access websites and sorts. Thanks for hanging around and bearing with us. We appreciate you!
(09:19 UTC — Dec 12) Update – No, don’t worry, we haven’t forgot about you all! We have hard at work trying to get things going. It hasn’t been easy, and we’ve lost the router we were going to restore to about 2 hours ago, and we’ve been collecting together what we have and reinstalling the network for the second time. We thank everyone for their extreme patience.
(12:58 UTC — Dec 12) Update – After fighting for more than two hours over firewalls, we had lost access to both management and main access to the servers, then we got half of it back. For the time being, we had to shutdown the server due to it being noisy and it conflicting with the CEO’s full-time job. We expect to hopefully restore Jahy within the next two hours.
(21:10 UTC — Dec 11) Update – Just as expected, it broke again. We are working closely with our NetroHost users as we connect to bring things back up. Some users’ websites may have been brought back. Currently, we are working on bringing the panel back up as well. We thank you all for your paitence.
(18:39 UTC — Dec 11) Investigating – We are aware of NetroHost instances not able to cnnect to the internet and that their website services may also be impacted. We are investigating the root cause and suspect a firewall issue may be the cause, however we have no further information at this time.
